CGDI MB – Mercedes Key Programmer with Full Adapter Set

The CGDI MB with Full Adapter is a comprehensive professional-grade key programming and diagnostic package designed specifically for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It is widely used by automotive locksmiths for tasks like adding new keys, handling “all keys lost” scenarios, and managing immobilizer systems.
Included Components & Their Functions
This “Full Adapter” bundle includes several specialized tools to streamline the programming process:
EIS Test Line: Used to test the Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS) on a bench without needing the vehicle’s Electronic Steering Lock (ELV) present.
ELV Adapter & Simulator: The simulator emulates the steering lock function, allowing you to bypass or repair faulty W204, W207, and W212 ELV units.
AC Adapter: Speeds up data acquisition via OBD. It eliminates the need to dismantle the EIS for many models, potentially reducing acquisition time to as little as 9–12 minutes for some chassis.
New NEC Adapter: Supports reading, writing, and erasing both smart and non-smart NEC keys without requiring soldering.
Key Performance Features
High Speed: It is marketed as one of the fastest tools for Mercedes, with data collection taking approximately 1 minute 50 seconds and password calculation roughly 40 seconds.
Wide Compatibility: Supports Mercedes models from roughly 1998 to 2020 (specifically FBS3 systems). It does not currently support the newer FBS4 systems for key programming.
Advanced Functions: Beyond key programming, it supports ECU/TCU/ISM renewal, mileage repair for specific clusters, and gateway data reading/writing.
Token Policy (“One Free Token Daily”)
Key password calculations are performed online and typically require tokens. The “Get One Free Token Daily” refers to the device’s activation policy:
Key Innovations
Plan A: Offers two free tokens daily for the first 180 days.
Plan B: Offers one free token daily for life after the initial period or upon specific activation.
Bonus Tokens: If you also own other CGDI tools (like the CGDI BMW or CG100), the factory can often bundle their serial numbers to grant you additional free daily tokens (up to 3 or 4 per day).
