TPMS19 activation tool for triggering supported tire-pressure sensors during vehicle relearn procedures. Intended for compatible Ford and Mazda applications; it does not program blank universal sensors. Confirm the exact vehicle, sensor and tool version before ordering.
The TPMS19 Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor Activation Tool is a specialized, one-button handheld device designed to “train” or relearn TPMS sensors for almost all Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Mazda vehicles equipped with a factory tire pressure monitoring system. It is commonly used after tire rotations, sensor replacements, or to clear a TPMS warning light.
Key Product Features
Compatibility: Designed for Ford and Mazda series vehicles from 2005 to present. It replaces OEM part numbers 8C2Z-1A203-A, 8C2T-1A203-AB, and TPMS19.
Functionality: It activates/triggers existing sensors so the vehicle’s computer can recognize their positions.
Note: This tool cannot program a brand-new, blank aftermarket sensor; those must be programmed with a separate tool before this activation tool can be used.
Design: A “super mini” portable tool that typically uses a 3V CR2032 or CR2 battery (depending on the specific manufacturer like Arozk or VXDAS) with a life of up to 5 years.
Limitations: It is generally not compatible with heavy-duty trucks that have more than four tires (e.g., dual-rear-wheel trucks).
How to Use the TPMS19 Tool
To use the tool, you must first put your vehicle into TPMS Relearn Mode. While procedures vary by model, a common Ford method is:
Enter Relearn Mode:
Turn the ignition to OFF, then press and release the brake pedal.
Cycle the ignition from OFF to RUN 3 times, ending in RUN.
Press and release the brake pedal again.
Turn the ignition to OFF, then cycle from OFF to RUN 3 more times.
The horn will honk once, and the dashboard may display “Train LF Tire,” indicating the car is ready.
Trigger the Sensors:
Start at the Left Front (Driver Side) tire.
Hold the TPMS19 tool against the tire sidewall near the valve stem.
Press the button. The vehicle’s horn will honk to confirm the sensor is trained.
Follow the Sequence:
Proceed in this order: Left Front
Right Front
Right Rear
Left Rear.
Finish:
Once the last tire is done, the horn will honk twice or the dash will show “Training Complete”. Turn the ignition OFF to exit the mode.
